Attractive gold colored trim cords or honor cords (sometimes called graduation ropes) are reserved for students who have achieved academic honor as indicated by induction into Phi Tau Sigma. Cum laude students and members of honor societies wear honor cords during graduation or commencement that signifies their achievement.
