Speedy Science 2027 — Now Going Global!

The University of Minnesota’s Phi Tau Sigma chapter is proud to announce the 7^th annual Speedy Science competition, taking place Wednesday, March 24, 2027, via Zoom.

This unique competition challenges food science students to present their research in a concise and captivating 3-minute format. Speedy Science is designed to help participants sharpen their communication skills, distill the essence of their research, and engage a broad audience including industry professionals, governments, sponsors, and fellow Phi Tau Sigma members and non-members.

For the first time, this year’s competition is open to international food science students, welcoming submissions from accredited universities worldwide.

Abstract submissions are now open! Interested students should submit their abstracts by Feb 19, 2027 through the University of Minnesota Phi Tau Sigma chapter’s online portal or by scanning the QR code below.

Winners will receive certificates and cash prizes, recognizing excellence in scientific communication and research innovation.
