Sheetal Jha is a Ph.D. student in School of Nutrition and Food Science at the Louisiana State University, where she is working on the antimicrobial and antibiofilm potential of Priesta megaterium against outbreak strains of Salmonella enterica and Listeria monocytogenes. Her current leadership roles include serving as a chair in IAFP SPDG board, and various leadership roles in IFT divisions, and serving on Phi Tau Sigma Newsletter committee. She was also the past president of Food science club and Phi Tau Sigma committee at LSU. Sheetal is deeply involved in scientific leadership and mentoring, actively participating in student research symposia and promoting food safety awareness.
